Mesh Assignment is Overhauled in PyroSim 2022.1
PyroSim 2022.1 will release this week with several new features. One that we'll highlight today is the new mesh assignment optimization algorithm. When a model is designed with multiple meshes, they are assigned to separate cores for simulation. This parallel process helps reduce the total time needed. When there are more meshes than processors, an algorithm is used to determine an efficient pairing. Read More...
New Preferences for Snapshot Defaults
Pathfinder 2022.1, the first release of the year, will soon launch with a new minor feature which provides an option to enable or disable simulation snapshots from the Preferences menu. Read More...
A Brief History of FEMTC
FEMTC, the Fire and Evacuation Modeling Technical Conference, began in 2011. Thunderhead Engineering noticed a lack of modeling-specific events in the industry and wanted to provide an opportunity for the community to share its progress with one another. It was always designed to highlight achievements through application, research, and experimentation. At that inagural event, Thunderhead Engineering co-founder Dan Swenson introduced the event and expressed its intent which has not changed. Read More...
