PyroSim 2013 Development

Work is currently underway on PyroSim 2013, which will provide support for FDS Version 6. FDS Version 6 was officially released by NIST earlier this month. See the FDS Blog for more information and download links. New features include HVAC modeling, an improved soot deposition model, and changes which improve the accuracy of gas flow modeling for a broad range of conditions. Additional extra species are now available and it is possible to transport, produce, and consume product species such as CO and soot.

We expect to release PyroSim 2013 for beta testing by November 15. Please visit the PyroSim News page on our website for information and download links.

2014 FEMTC

After a successful first event in 2011, we have decided to organize another Fire and Evacuation Modeling Technical Conference for 2014. With the release of FDS 6, we expect that there will be a lot of valuable information to share. We are planning to have 2 days of technical presentations on fire and evacuation modeling, with an optional 3rd day for workshop classes on PyroSim and Pathfinder. Please check the Conference Page on our website for updates as we finalize the venue and abstract/paper submission timeline.
