FEMTC 2018 Call for Papers and Key Speakers

As a result of some email delivery issues, we have extended the abstract submission deadline for the 2018 Fire and Evacuation Modeling Technical Conference to 30 April 2018.

Thunderhead Engineering is hosting the 4th Fire and Evacuation Modeling Technical Conference (FEMTC) on October 1-3, 2018 in Gaithersburg, MD. We have planned two and a half days of technical presentations on fire and evacuation modeling.

Call for Papers

If you would like to share your work, send an abstract of 300 words or less to conference@thunderheadeng.com before April 30, 2018. We will notify speakers of acceptance on or before May 15, 2018. The final version deadline for the paper and presentation materials will be September 1st, 2018.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts related to fire and evacuation modeling, including the following topics:

  • Modeling Technology and Methodologies
  • Modeling Case Studies
  • Material Data and Testing
  • Evacuation Studies and Data
  • Validation and Verification of Models

Key Speakers

While it is early in the process, we have some commitments from the following people to gives talks and to participate as key speakers for the event. The list might evolve over time, but we are really excited to see some significant interest in the early stages.
