FEMTC 2022 Abstracts are Confirmed

FEMTC 2022 event and hotel registration is now live. After closing the call for papers, we have reviewed, accepted, and confirmed over 30 presenters for FEMTC 2022 in Brno, Czech Republic and online for virtual attendees. More than 25 presenters will attend in-person at Brno while the remaining presenters will provide a virtual appearance. Presenters will take questions live from audiences in Brno and from offices around the world. We would like to thank everyone who submitted an abstract for presentation and we hope that many more will attend FEMTC 2022 as viewing and discussing participants. 

During this time, in-person tickets are discounted at an early bird rate of $100 USD less than full price.

A Brief History of FEMTC

FEMTC, the Fire and Evacuation Modeling Technical Conference, began in 2011. Thunderhead Engineering noticed a lack of modeling-specific events in the industry and wanted to provide an opportunity for the community to share its progress with one another. It was always designed to highlight achievements through application, research, and experimentation. Advanced FDS Training

If you’re experienced with FDS and PyroSim and are ready to take your skills to the next level, the Advanced FDS course through SFPE is available during the month of April. Virtual sessions are scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM EDT (+4 UTC). Call for Papers – FEMTC 2022

Thunderhead Engineering is hosting the 6th Fire and Evacuation Modeling Technical Conference (FEMTC) on September 12-14, 2022 in Brno, Czech Republic. We have planned two and a half days of technical presentations on fire and evacuation modeling. FEMTC 2022 is a hybrid event and will have opportunities for both attendance and presentation by remote participants.

If you would like to share your work, send an abstract of 300 words or less to conference@thunderheadeng.com before April 29, 2022.

We will notify speakers of acceptance on or before May 13, 2022. The final version deadline for the paper and presentation materials will be August 5, 2022.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts related to fire and evacuation modeling, including the following topics:
– Modeling Technology and Methodologies
– Modeling Case Studies
– Material Data and Testing
– Evacuation Studies and Data
– Validation and Verification of Models

Price Increase in 2022 for PyroSim and Pathfinder

Prices for all license types of PyroSim and Pathfinder are scheduled to increase on January 1, 2022. All quotes issued before this date will retain 2021 pricing throughout their normal 30 day validity period, even if that extends into early 2022. If you are considering a new purchase, or if your annual subscription is expiring soon, we encourage you to take advantage of the current pricing. The adjusted 2022 prices are listed on the pricing pages for PyroSim and Pathfinder.
